Transport of poultry

Transport of poultry is a type of special trucks intended for transporting cages with birds (chickens, broiler chickens, geese, turkeys) and other small animals.

There are two different types of truck body which are called transport of poultry. In the first case, it is a curtain-sided tilt body for the transportation of cages of different sizes with living birds or small animals. The distinctive features may include light-transmitting bands and ventilation in the tent, guidelines for the cages on the floor, and lifter roof.

Another type of transports of poultry are so-called trucks for transportation of eggs and day-old chickens. In this case, we are dealing with a much more technologically advanced body - in fact, a kind of an incubator on wheels. It is usually a framed van whose walls are made of heat-insulating sandwich panels. Given the specific requirements of this cargo to the transportation conditions, such a body is equipped with a system for monitoring and maintenance of the micro-climate (temperature, carbon dioxide levels, air pressure and so on) - heating and cooling system, and a forced ventilation system, which can be either automated or controlled from the driver's cab. Moreover, these systems often have an independent power supply.

Typically, such a body of transport of poultry has double-wing doors at the back of the van equipped with a loading mechanism (ramp, hydrolift).
