Tilt trailers

Tilt trailers are a kind of closed-body cargo trailers intended for carriage of different types of goods as a part of the road train with a tractor unit or a truck. It is, basically, a modification of the flatbed trailer complemented with a metal frame, which is covered by awning cloth.

The awning cloth used in such trailers usually has high or medium density (approximately 630 g/m² to 950 g/m²), which makes it rather tear-resistant (although resistance to damage and intrusion is, of course, significantly lower in tilt trailers than in, for instance, closed box trailers).
