Ice cream truck is a truck whose closed body is intended for transportation of deep freeze products (for example, ice cream).

Refrigerating equipment installed in multidoor (doors situated on the sides) isothermal body of such a truck provides the possibility to sustain low temperature (as low as -30°C – -40°C) around the clock, which allows transporting good demanding specific temperatures for long distances.

As a rule, the refrigerating machines of a modern ice cream truck work from external power sources during the stops. The temperature lowered during these 'freeze buildup' periods is sustained due to isothermal characteristics of the body walls and eutectic modules ('cold accumulators'). This system allows decreasing fuel consumption due to lack of necessity to turn on the refrigerating machines during transportation.

Many modern ice cream trucks, as well as other contemporary trucks, are equipped with the ABS brake system, an on-board computer, driver's cab air conditioner, power windows, and a central lock.
